This resolution calls on "all Member States, interntational and regional organizations and civil society, including non-governmental organizations and individuals to celebrate this day.

In this context, Espace Afrique International, an NGO in consultative status with ECOSOC and NGO United Villages, also with ECOSOC consultative status and Association Women Hope for Albinos join forces in celebrating this day through a panel on albinism as the contribution of civil society to the cause of persons with albinism and awareness around the subject. The panel is taking place at the Palais des Nations in Geneva.
